Our Owners: Abby Cushing & Stephen Rishworth
Abby and Stephen are a local husband and wife team who are thrilled to bring The Junkluggers and its green mission to the Greater Boston area. Abby Cushing grew up in Boston and attended Harvard University. She has many years of experience in marketing and investing. Her career eventually brought her to London, where she met her husband and business partner, Stephen Rishworth. Stephen grew up in North Wales, UK, and attended Oxford University. He spent 17 years of his career as a trader for various investment banks before moving to Boston with Abby to build this company and their family.
After crossing the Atlantic on their sailboat as part of a year-long adventure at sea, Abby and Stephen are happy to be back in the U.S. and ready to bring The Junkluggers to their community and to partner with charities close to their hearts, like Habitat for Humanity, Boston Children's Hospital, The Salvation Army, and more. Both Abby and Stephen have long been avid proponents of environmental sustainability and are committed to transforming junk removal in Massachusetts into a sustainable practice to help make Greater Boston a greener, cleaner place for future generations.
In their free time, Abby and Stephen can be found enjoying the outdoors, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.
